Humanity First for Illinois PAC Endorses Adair Rodriguez for Village President of Forest City for Expanding Democracy to WE the People
CHICAGO – Humanity First for Illinois PAC (HFIL) announced its endorsement of Adair Rodriguez for Expanding Democracy to WE the People in the 2021 Consolidated General Election race for Village President of Forest City in Mason County, to defeat incumbent Danny Gordon.
Adair Rodriquez is a working-class American who strongly believes in putting power in the hands of workers. He believes this can be achieved in a number of ways, such as increasing access to public education and putting cash directly into the hands of everyday Americans.
Rodriguez is focused on generating economic opportunities within the 241-person village rather than outsourcing and relying on neighboring towns to drive the local economy. Central to his goal is democratic reform through term limits that stamp out corruption and allow Forest City to thrive.
A Statement from HFIL Executive Director Ralph Yaniz on the grassroots group’s endorsement of Rodriguez:
“Humanity First for Illinois PAC is proud to stand with candidate Adair Rodriguez as we look at changing the status quo in Illinois. Election reform must be central to these changes as we return the power to the people of Illinois. We look forward to working with Adair Rodriguez and all other candidates to reach this goal.” — Ralph Yaniz, Executive Director, Humanity First for Illinois PAC
Statement from Adair Rodriguez on receiving HFIL’s Expanding Democracy to WE the People endorsement:
“I am honored and humbled to be endorsed by Humanity First for Illinois PAC. It became evident rather quickly that Humanity First for Illinois’s core principles lined up nearly perfectly with my belief that we are long overdue for a more worker-centric government and economy. The growing support for these types of legislative priorities across Illinois as a whole is a clear indicator that although there may seem to be a divide between the rural and urban parts of the state, there are a number of issues on which we can all generally agree on. I look forward to working with Humanity First for Illinois on getting those priorities implemented.” — Adair Rodriguez
